What is Basalt?

Basalt is a type of volcanic rock, which is formed by the rapid cooling of lava at the surface of the Earth.  Basalt fiber is made by finely crushing fibers of basalt, which can then be melted and utilized in a wide variety of industries without adding any excess materials to it.

Why Use Basalt?

While Basalt is similar to fiberglass and carbon fiber, it is a better insulator, stronger in tensile strength, and resistant to acids and alkalis. Additionally, basalt is light, non-corrosive, and can sustain high exposure to heat and cold, making it more resilient over time.
